- Blackstar was rehearsing/recording on 22-24/6/98 Motörhead's classic
"No Class" for Japanese compilation CD which will be released by Toy Factory.
- "Barbed Wire Soul" was released in Japan on December 1st '97 with
8 extra tracks - 3 covers and 5 from the demo we did. The bonus tracks
are: "Peacedog" (The Cult cover), "The Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill"
(Husker Du cover), "Running Back" (Thin Lizzy cover), Revolution,
New Song, Sound Of Silence, Waste of Space and Instrumental.
It should be getting released in the USA in March through a new small
label called PROSTHETIC RECORDS - more details when I get them.
- "Oh yeah, we did some covers for the
Peaceville Anniversary CD "X" and for Japan; "The Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill"
by HUSKER DU, "Running Back" by THIN LIZZY, "Peacedog" by THE CULT !!!"
News from Jeff Walker
- The "Barbed Wire Soul" album is released on September 29th. This CD has
some wicked artwork and is being received very warmly by the press. The
band have been put forward to support Paradise Lost on their forthcoming
tour, but no news has been heard yet regarding whether they have been
accepted.

- Jeff Walker, Ken Owen, Carlos Regadas from Carcass. Rocking out for
Rock's sake and refusing to die. Their Colin Richardson produced debut
has just been completed and is called "Barbed Wire Soul". Bet you
can't wait to hear this !!!
